Conoscopic lens for alignment testing of an automotive lidar system
The development of lidar sensors especially for the automotive sector is making rapid progress. The development progress as well as growing quantities also increase the requirements for automated and precise testing and quality assurance. DIOPTIC offers specialized and precisely fitting solutions for this, e.g. for ensuring eye-safety and testing the range of the sensors.
Lidar systems in road traffic use high laser pulse power to guarantee reliable detection of objects. Due to the increasing miniaturization of the systems, even the smallest mechanical deviations in the sensor design can lead to a deviation in the beam path and thus to the limit values being exceeded. With measuring systems from DIOPTIC, such deviations are reliably detected by a combination of different sensors and an automated measuring sequence.
To determine the range of lidar sensors depending on the reflection properties of objects is essential for many applications. As the range of the sensors increases, so does the length of the test tracks. An optical system specially designed by DIOPTIC makes it possible to simulate test sections several hundred meters long in a compact table system. This makes it easier to control and reproduce test conditions even for long sensor ranges.
DIOPTIC supports its customers throughout the entire development and production process, from the first optical design to adjustment systems for the optical components and automated measuring systems for recording important optical parameters.
